Alex J. Cañas holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations with an extensive knowledge of Qualified and Non-Qualified plans. Alex is bilingual, he speaks and writes both English and Spanish. Alex has been involved in the Retirement and Financial Services Industry since 1989. Over the years he has serviced and marketed to the K-12, Higher Education, 501(c)(3) Non-Profits and Corporate Markets in an array of programs. He has extensive background in 401(a), 401(k), 403(b) and 457(b) in both Governmental and Non-governmental plans as well as 457(f) plans. As an Investment Adviser Representative with Voya Financial Advisors, Mr.Cañas has the following securities registrations: Series 6, 7, and 63.

Alex served in the U.S. ARMY and was honorably discharged.  He is a resident of Suffolk County in Long Island, New York.  Alex enjoys spending time with his family, wife of 30 years and their 3 children. When he is not working, Alex loves to travel, play golf and watching the NY Yankees!  His hobbies also include cooking, gardening, fishing, playing soccer.
